Revew
Excerpt:
So in this instrumental release Greg mixes -always
through a prism of pure rock energy- 7string riffs
with jazzy chords and a twist of funk, especially
in the bass playing. The end result is a wide variety
of sounds and styles, while each progression smoothly
succeeds the other in every song of this album,
leaving you with a "what did just happen??"
expression. And for
some that might question him as a guitarist, be
warned, for he will shred your ears with his lightning
fast playing and mastery of techniques.

Review
Excerpt:
The ten songs are complex and technical but in any
case, Greg tries to do some musical demonstration.
It's more a matter of "musical feeling"
then anything else. Even if his guitar playing is
really good and complex I've never had the "boring"
felling that we can encounter with some "guitar
heroes". Between the rage of a Symphony X on
some songs (like "The Sojourner (Confined)")
and the technicality that you'll be able to find
with some bands like Dream Theater the music of
Greg Rapaport is original and never boring.

Review
Excerpt:
At last, something I can soak my mind into. Greg
Rapaport, in his latest endeavor, Homunculus, blends
heavy metal, rock, blues, jazz, and his own unique
touch to create an instrumental montage that deserves
attention. Homunculus is a journey through all the
aspects of human personality, and tracks are named
according to each idea.
